Demand growth for electric vehicles in UK car leasing as of 2021
Data released by a UK comparison site for car leasing reveals that the demand for electric vehicles outgrew that of diesel cars in 2021. The company mentions that the demand for plugin hybrids, especially, grew since the beginning of the year, as sales enquiries grew by nearly 80 percent. It adds that the demand for battery electric vehicles (BEV) made up around four percent of all sales enquiries in 2019, against 10 percent in 2020. This is expected to hit 20 percent of overall sales enquiries in 2021.
