Total receipts from inbound tourism in Ireland 2006-2021
During the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the value of international tourism receipts in Ireland declined by 4.6 billion U.S. dollars in 2020 over the previous year, then experienced a further 53 percent annual drop in 2021. Overall, tourism receipts amounted to approximately 0.9 billion U.S. dollars in 2021, falling from 1.9 billion U.S. dollars in the first year of the health crisis.
