Usage of drinking water sources and sanitation in Burkina Faso 2019
In Burkina Faso, about 48 percent of the population used at least basic drinking water services as of 2019. This meant that nearly half of Burkinabes used an improved drinking water source, where collection time is not more than 30 minutes for a round trip, including queuing. Furthermore, around 55 percent of the people in Burkina Faso used improved drinking water sources available when needed, which means they had access to improved drinking water sources free of fecal and priority chemical contamination when needed.
