Number of ships arriving in ports in Iceland by ship type 2021
In 2021, over 7,500 ships entered ports in Iceland. Some 69 percent of these ships—around 5,200—were passenger ships. Dry bulk carriers were the second most common ship type arriving in Icelandic ports that year.
