Number of people living with dementia in the Netherlands 2018-2050
In the Netherlands, approximately 50.5 thousand people aged 90 years and above were living with dementia in 2018, this number was forecast to reach over 164 thousand by 2050. Dementia is a symptom of Alzheimer's disease, a progressive neurological disorder generally associated with aging. This explains the general rise in the number of people living with dementia as age advances.
