Number of people living with dementia in Poland 2018-2050
In Poland, over 119 thousand people aged between 85 and 89 years were living with dementia in 2018, this number wad expected to almost double by the year 2050. Dementia is a symptom of Alzheimer's disease, a progressive neurological disorder generally associated with aging. This explains the general rise in the number of people living with dementia as age advances.
