Global proportion of LNG-fueled new vessel orders 2022, by type
Around 30 percent of the new large-size vessel orders are fueled by liquefied natural gas (LNG). In particular, the share of orders for new passenger car carriers that are LNG-fueled was 98 percent as of January 2022. Meanwhile, 19 percent of the orders for new bulkers are LNG-powered.
