Marketed production of phosphates in Morocco 2018-2020
The marketed production of phosphate in Morocco reached around 37 million metric tons in 2020. This was an increment compared to the previous year, following a growing trend registered since 2018. The mining center of Khouribga accounted for the largest extraction and production of phosphate in the country. Moreover, Morocco was the main producer of phosphate worldwide in 2021, after China.
