The marketed production of phosphate in Morocco reached around 37 million metric tons in 2020. The mining center of Khouribga accounted for the largest production of phosphate in the country, which stood at nearly 30 million metric tons. Morocco was the main producer of phosphate worldwide in 2021, after China.
