In the twelve months to December 2020, almost one and a half million men attended an Australian Football League match in Australia. In total, almost than two and a half million people attended an AFL match throughout 2020. Attendance to AFL matches were impacted by COVID-19 related restrictions. In 2019, the AFL season drew a record attendance of 6.95 million throughout the season.
