Gross earnings of employees in South Africa Q1 2019-Q4 2021
As of the fourth quarter of 2021, the aggregated employee gross earning in South Africa reached over 827.3 billion South African rands (around 56.67 billion U.S. dollars). This was an increase from 783 billion South African rands (53.64 billion U.S. dollars) in the previous quarter. Overall, employee gross earning increased during the reviewed period. However, the first two quarters of 2020 had a significant drop in gross earnings of employees in the country due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
