According to monthly surveys conducted in 2021 and 2022, the share of the respondents in South Africa worried about unemployment and jobs in their country was one of the highest among countries taking part in the online study. The country suffers from high unemployment rates among the young population. During the period under review, the share of participants concerned about the job market and unemployment in South Africa fluctuated between 60 percent, observed in March 2021, and 67 percent, registered in October 2021 and August 2022.
