Overtime payments of employees in South Africa Q1 2019-Q4 2021
The aggregated overtime payments made to employees in South Africa reached nearly 22 billion South African rands (around 1.51 billion U.S. dollars) in the fourth quarter of 2021. This was an increase from 20.7 billion South African rands (1.42 billion U.S. dollars) in the previous quarter. In the period under review, overtime payments peaked in the fourth quarter of 2020. Overtime payments to employees in the country were the component with the least share in the gross earnings of employees.
