Electricity customers with meters in Nigeria 2021, by distribution company

As of June 2021, around 4.4 million customers of eleven electricity distribution companies (DisCos) in Nigeria were metered. In the same period, the total registered electricity customers reached over 11 million people. This meant that the vast majority of the registered clients had no meters to measure their usage of electrical energy, and thus remained on estimated billing. Ibadan and Abuja reported the highest number of metered electricity customers in Nigeria, while metering was lowest in Port Harcourt and Yola.
