Share of clean electricity production in Africa 2021, by country
Nearly all of the electricity generated in Ethiopia (99.9 percent) were from clean sources as of 2020. In 2021, the share of clean electricity in DR Congo and Kenya reached 99.7 percent and 87.8 percent, respectively. In contrast, Tunisia, Algeria, and Libya reported some of the lowest percentages of clean electricity production on the continent.
