The prices of many construction materials in the United Kingdom (UK) increased significantly in 2022. One of the most extreme examples was the price of concrete reinforcing bars, which increased by almost 38 percent that year. In 2021, the price of fabricated structural steel increased by 52.6 percent. In early 2023, cement and concrete products were among the building materials with highest price increases in the United States.
