Reasons to not travel long-haul to Europe worldwide 2023, by country
According to a December 2023 study, 43 percent of respondents in Japan who intended to travel long-haul in the next 12 months, but not to Europe, stated that high travel costs were the main barriers to visiting the region. While 39 percent of the sample in Brazil mentioned the same issue, just 20 percent of Chinese respondents believed that high travel expenses were an obstacle to visiting Europe.
