In 2019, the labor productivity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in South Korea was about 32 percent the level of large enterprises, showing a slight increase from the previous year. The labor productivity gap between South Korean large manufacturing companies and SMEs is one of the largest among member countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
