Number of jobs in Marseille in France 2008-2019, by industry sector
In 2019, there were approximately 10,000 more jobs in the City of Marseille than in 2008. The number of jobs had increased in several sectors, including public administration, education, health and social work, for which there were nearly 130,000 jobs in 2008, compared to more than 137,200 in 2019, or trade, transport and other services, for which there were nearly 5,000 more jobs in 2019 than in 2008. By contrast, the number of jobs in the agriculture sector decreased during this period.
