Average net hourly wage of Marseille's residents in France 2021, by age and gender
In 2021 in Marseille, a city located in southeastern France, the average hourly wage for men aged between 26 and 50 was 16.1 euros, while that of women of the same age was 14.6, almost two euros less. This gap was even greater among people aged over 50: women of that age earned an average of slightly less than 16 euros per hour, while their male counterparts earned over three euros more. The difference in wages between the two genders was less important among younger people.
