Import volume of the mining and quarrying industry in Spain 2018-2021, by segment
The import volume of metal ores in Spain amounted to some 41.4 million metric tons in 2021, up from some 37 million tons in the previous year. Non-metallic minerals represented a smaller share of the industry's import volume. In 2021, non-metallic mineral imports amounted to some 18 million metric tons. Meanwhile, non-metallic minerals made up for the largest share of Spain's mining and quarrying industry export volume that year.
