The Port of Los Angeles was the leading port in the United States (U.S.) in terms of the value of cargo handled in 2020. That year, the port processed waterborne cargo worth 196.9 billion U.S. dollars. The Port of New York, ranking second, processed 187.1 billion U.S. dollars worth of cargo that year.
