Natural gas-based emissions in Africa 2022, by country
As of 2022, Egypt produced around 129 million short tons of carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions. The country registered the highest natural gas-based emission volume among the selected African nations. Algeria ranked second, as natural gas in the country emitted approximately 104 million short tons of CO₂ over the same period.
