Hospital employment in France by sector

From 2013 to 2020, the size of hospital employment in France remained around 1.3 million individuals. The biggest employer was, by far, the public hospital sector. Over the last decade, public hospitals in France employed over a million people. The private sector salaried workforce increased from 2013 to 2016. Since then, however, the number of employees in private hospitals has decreased.
