When it comes to traveling short distances of around two kilometers or one mile in their neighborhood, people in the Netherlands are mostly likely to do these trips by bicycle. 45 percent of respondents to an April 2022 survey indicated that they would cycle for these journey. A further quarter of respondents indicated that they would walk.
