China: 5G CAPEX investments by telecom company 2023

In 2023, China Mobile planned to invest 83 billion yuan in 5G infrastructure. China Telecom and China Mobile together invested over 67 billion U.S. dollars. On the background of increasing 5G network coverage, all players in the industry stated that the peak of infrastructure investments has been reached and that they will decrease 5G CAPEX investments over the coming years.
