Main obstacles facing the development and promotion of mountain tourism globally 2022

In a survey held between July and December 2022, it was found that the leading challenge facing countries developing and promoting mountain tourism was a lack of adequate infrastructure, with 74 percent of respondents citing it as a leading reason in their home countries. The second-most cited challenge was sustainability, with 70 percent of survey participants saying so.
