Melanoma skin cancer survival rates in Finland 1971-2020, by gender
In Finland during the period 2016 to 2020, over 95 percent of women and 91.5 percent of men lived at least five years after the diagnosis of melanoma skin cancer. This represents quite an increase in survival rates compared to between 1971 and 1975 when around 67 percent of women and 49 percent of men would live for five years following a diagnosis of melanoma.
