Bathing water quality in Scotland 2023

The share of bathing sites in Scotland with an excellent water quality rating reached a record high of 44 percent for the 2023 bathing season. By comparison, just two percent of bathing sites will have a poor status. Around 98 percent of Scotland's 87 monitored bathing sites had at least a sufficient water quality for the 2023 bathing season.
