Breakdown of the coastal water quality in France 2016-2021
In 2021, the water quality was good or excellent in 90 percent of the coastal bathing sites across France. This figure remained relatively stable since 2016. Nevertheless, the share of coastal bathing sites offering poor or sufficient water quality increased to over six percent in 2021, compared to 5.5 in 2016.
