The Troubles: British security forces killings1969-2001, by victim affiliation
During the Troubles, British security forces, namely soldiers of the British Army and Ulster Defence Regiment (UDR), as well as police officers of the Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC), were responsible for 365 deaths. Of these, over 50 percent of these victims were civilians, while another 40 percent were members of republican paramilitary organizations (mostly the IRA).
