Share of U.S. women who experienced gender discrimination by age 2022
According to a survey conducted in 2022, younger women were found more likely to say that they have experienced hostility or discrimination based on their gender or gender expression in the United States. Women who were aged 18 to 29 years were most likely out of all surveyed age groups to say that they had experienced hostility or discrimination based on their gender, at 23 percent. In comparison, only four percent of women aged 65 years or older said that they had personally experienced gender discrimination.
