Share of women on boards in the financial services sector in Europe 2023, by country
As of 2023, Norway ranked first in terms of the share of women directors on boards in the financial services industry among European countries. In Norway, 47.8 percent of the board seats were taken by women. Norway was followed closely by France, with 47.2 percent of the director seats held by women. The share of female directors exceeded 40 percent in Denmark and Italy as well.
