EU employment rate by gender and family situation

There is an employment gender gap among the countries of the European Union. According to the Gender Equality Index 2020, the full-time equivalent employment rate of lone mothers was 59 percent compared to 74 percent for of lone fathers. Regarding couples with children a similar picture appears. Significant gender gaps in employment was also salient considering educational level.
