Real estate companies worldwide excelled in their sustainable management practices in 2023, based on data from the GRESB. Conversely, all regions scored lowest in terms of the sustainability performance of standing investments. Asia was the region with the highest performance score, amounting to 74 out of 100. Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) is an industry-led organization that collects, validates, scores, and benchmarks ESG performance. ESG benchmarking has been a growing trend among real estate companies worldwide, with the number of companies participating in GRESB benchmark increasing year-on-year since 2013.
