In 2023, around 63 percent of people in Germany aged 66 and over, according to a survey by the DKV, had healthy stress behavior. This meant that they dealt with their stress in an effective and healthy manner.

¹ Personal stress levels were quantified by the question “How would you rate your current level of stress?” and by a question regarding individual stress compensation mechanisms. Those surveyed achieve healthy stress behavior when they deal with stress using effective strategies (such as playing sports, exercising, practicing relaxation techniques, meeting friends, reading, listening to music, etc.) and the subjective perception of stress is low.
