Of the total amount of water withdrawn for agricultural, industrial, and municipal purposes in Ghana, agricultural water withdrawal occupied the largest proportion. In 2020, this amounted to around 1.1 billion cubic meters. The volumes of industrial and municipal water withdrawals were comparatively lower, each with less than 0.4 billion cubic meters.
