Installed capacity of hydro energy generation in Ghana 2021, by facility
As of 2021, Akosombo GS was the largest existing hydropower generation facility in Ghana in terms of installed capacity, 1,020 megawatts. To follow, Bui GS and Kpong GS had, respectively, 404 megawatts and 160 megawatts of installed capacity for hydroelectric power. Moreover, the mini-hydro energy source, Tsatsadu, registered an installed capacity of some 0.05 megawatts in the same year.
