Norway: consumer opinion on the ban of combustion vehicles in 10 to 15 years

According to a survey conducted in 2023 in Norway regarding consumer opinions on the ban of combustion vehicles in ten to fifteen years' time, 52 percent of the survey participants showed mild to strong support for the ban of combustion vehicles, though 80 percent of participants agreed it presented an unfair option for some households.

Original survey question: "In some countries, regulations have been introduced that will ban the sale of combustion vehicles (petrol, diesel, hybrid) in 10 to 15 years’ time to combat air pollution. Do you agree or disagree with each of the following statements about this ban on the sale of combustion vehicles?"

Results include the share of respondents who chose "completely agree" or "somewhat agree" as "agree" and respondents choosing "somewhat disagree" or "completely disagree" as "disagree".

Respondents came from national samples from each country. The quota approach was employed to ensure that the sample was representative of gender and age.
