Germany: Leading reasons for owning a Deutschlandticket in July 2023
Among owners of a Deutschlandticket, 41 percent said that the Germany-wide validity of the ticket was worthwhile for them, making this the leading reason for holding such a ticket. This reason was followed by the low price, which 37 percent of respondents said was a reason for buying the ticket.
The Deutschlandticket is a public transport ticket that allows access to local and regional public transport across Germany for 49 euros per month. It was introduced in May 2023.
