Deutschlandticket travel behavior change 2023

Over three-quarters of trips made with the Deutschlandticket in July 2023 would have also been made by local and regional public transport before the introduction of the ticket, while 12 percent of trips were additional trips that would have not been made without the availability of the ticket. Around one in ten trips would have been made with a different mode of transport without the Deutschlandticket's existence.

The Deutschlandticket is a public transport ticket that allows access to local and regional public transport across Germany for 49 euros per month that was introduced in May 2023.
