GHG emissions from the most polluting manufacturing facilities in the EU-27 2022
The Zignago Vetro Brosse glass making facility in France was the highest-emitting physical asset in the European Union's manufacturing sector in 2022, with estimated emissions of 13.6 million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (MtCO₂e). Several of the most polluting facilities in the the EU-27 manufacturing sector are steel plants owned by the Luxembourg-based multinational steel corporation AcelorMittal.
