Impact of the recession in the U.S. on personal finances by age This survey shows the impact of the recession in the U.S. on personal finances by age. Before the recession 50 percent of respondents aged between 18 and 34 years rated their financial situation excellent or good. In 2011, this percentage dropped to 33 percent.
