The United States was the country in the Americas with the highest international tourism receipts in 2021. That year, inbound tourism receipts in the U.S. totaled around 70 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for roughly a third of the value recorded prior to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Overall, the United States topped the ranking of the countries with the highest international tourism receipts worldwide in 2021.
