Biofuel production in Argentina 2009-2021
Biofuels production in Argentina amounted to 38 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2021, an increase of nearly 41 percent in comparison to the previous year. Production of biofuels in the South American country peaked in 2017, at 58 thousand barrels of oil equivalent daily, and has been on a mostly declining tendency since. Nevertheless, Argentina remains one of the largest producers of biofuels in South America.
