* Potential industry impact of unused paid vacation days that could be used for travel. The number of unused paid vacation days was reduced to opportunity to travel by the share of respondents who did not use their days due to budgetary reasons or because they were rolling them over for future use.
The impact of additional spending was quantified using the U.S. IMPLAN economic model.
Of the 971 employees surveyed, 700 received paid time off.
Figures were calculated based on the total additional spending amount of 67 billion U.S. dollars and the respective industry shares.
