This statistic shows the percentage of violent victimization in the U.S. from 2003 to 2013, by age of victim and location of crime. Between 2003 and 2013, about 59.3% of violent crime against elderly persons (65 or older) occurred at or near their homes, 6% occurred at or near a friend, neighbor, or relative’s home, and about 35% occurred at other locations.
