This statistic shows the percentage of victimizations reported to police in the United States from 2003 to 2013, by type of crime and age of victim. Between 2003 and 2013, around 56.2% of the elderly victims (65 or older) reported violent crime to the police while only 38.3% of the elderly victims reported for property crime.
