In Canada, while a c-section was the most common inpatient surgery, the average length of stay (LOS) was relatively short, at just 2.7 days, compared to the other top ten surgeries in 2022/23. Inpatients who had a surgery for fractures stayed the longest, with an average LOS of 10.6 days.
