Change in summer tourism visitors for businesses in Wales 2019

Over a third of tourism business in Wales reported an increase in visitors in summer 2019 compared to 2018. Serviced accommodation, including hotels and B&Bs, reported the highest increase at 41 percent. Reasons given for the increase in visitors numebrs included the weather being better and more British people holidaying in the UK. Only around a fifth of businesses said they received fewer visitors, whereas the rest claimed that tourism levels had remained the same.
